Chemical Peels
Crow’s feet, acne, acne scars, freckles, melasmas, age spots, and pre-cancerous growths can be treated through an application of trichloroacetic acid. Performed as an outpatient procedure, a chemical peel causes the outer layers of skin to flake off, revealing new skin underneath. Deeper chemical peels can be performed if necessary, allowing Dr. Tolson to treat even deep discolorations and scars. Generally, the results last for several years and can be repeated if necessary.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser resurfacing is ideal for addressing visible veins, uneven skin tones, deep wrinkles, and age spots on the neck, arms, legs, and chest. Short pulses of concentrated light beams are sent to the areas being treated, removing the damaged skin one layer at a time while simultaneously stimulating collagen growth. Laser resurfacing is an outpatient procedure with minimal downtime and can be safely repeated as often as necessary to maintain the look you want.
Laser Hair Removal
For those who constantly battle unwanted body hair, laser hair removal offers a permanent solution. The laser is directed spot by spot to the areas that need to be treated. All active hair follicles are destroyed during a treatment, but dormant hair follicles remain untouched. The dormant hair follicles become active two to eight weeks later, so three to eight appointments are required to destroy all the hair follicles. Once the follicles are gone, the hair never comes back removing the need for constant shaving, waxing, or electrolysis.
